Picture update!

This post are the pictures to go with the post before this...so it may make more sense to read it first and then look through the pictures. I know this will show up first...but just a little advice!

My mom just informed me that you can click on the pictures in the blog and get a full screen image. I think I mentioned somewhere in here that you couldn't get the full effect with these tiny pictures...so that solves the problem! They should come through really clear!

These pictures are courtesy of Taylor's new little toy he bought himself! The pictures are MUCH better than any my little point and shoot measley 5 Megapixel camera could take :) And they're a bit out of order...but I'll try to put captions under them to explain.

This is taken when we first walked into Namdaemun Market.

This is at the Deoksugung Palace. This is the changing of the guard outside the gate of the palace. It is located right in the middle of the city...notice the Dunkin Donuts to the right!

This is inside the palace grounds. There were different buildings used for different things within the palace...we were just touring around. It was a bit tough too because very few of the explanations about the various areas were in English...it was mostly just Hangul (which is the spoken language in Korea, it's not called Korean)

This is one of the various buildings on the palace grounds.

This was just a little sitting area in the palace we thought it was really pretty. Notice the purple flowers hangingn from the trees...

This picture should probably go after the next one...it is the ceiling of the building with the throne inside it. The picture below is the throne and this is above it. The attention to detail was just amazing. In the center it is carvings of dragons painted in gold.

This was the throne inside one of the buildings.

This is the building that housed the throne. And I really wanted to include this picture so you could notice the pink visors that I mentioned about in the post. Everyone wheres these silly looking things!!

Back to Namdaemun Market...this was just a scene from the streets.

This is the market again. I thought the flags were really neat. They had them all over parts of the market. I wish some of the pictures could come through bigger because you can't get all the detail with them this small...but hopefully you can get an idea!!
Anyway...we're off to the kennels for Taylor to be attacked by one of the dogs. His guys were kind of excited about getting him in there. They put on some big suit and allow one of the dogs to attack you. He said basically you feel the force of the bite...but depending on the level of the suit you put on it shouldn't draw blood or really injure you. Sounds great, huh?? Maybe I'll get some pictures of that!
Later Gators!
